Valencia close to deal for Como star | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Valencia are closing on the signing of a member of the attacking ranks at Italian side Como.

That’s according to market insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Iván Azón as the player in question.

Attacker Azón for his part only made the move to Serie A earlier this year.

Following a productive opening half of the term in La Liga 2 with Real Zaragoza, the 22-year-old was snapped up by Cesc Fàbregas’ Como during the winter transfer window.

Azón’s first half-season in Italy, however, proved altogether underwhelming, as a combination of fitness problems and competition for places culminated in a grand total of zero appearances.

In turn, it should not come as a major surprise to hear of the frontman preparing for an imminent return to his home country.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:

‘Valencia and Como are closing in on deal to sign Iván Azón on loan until June 2026 with salary covered. Final details to be sorted.’
