USMNT star Timothy Weah is expected to start as the Juventus lone striker in a Serie A game against Milan on Saturday. His coach, Thiago Motta, praised him during a press conference on Friday: ‘I like all he does.’
Weah has four goals and two assists in 11 appearances across all competitions this season and is expected to replace the injured Dusan Vlahovic in attack away at Milan tomorrow.
Ironically, San Siro is the place where Timothy’s father, George, shone with the Rossoneri shirt for many years, winning the Ballon d’Or in 1995.
“I like all he does,” Motta admitted.
“Especially the fact that he scores goals. Strikers need to finish an attack. He does many other things well, and it’s very interesting because he offers alternative solutions. He can play on the left, on the right, or as a striker. He helps, and he’s responsible. He understands what the team needs and his duties. We are happy he’s in good form, he must continue like this, whether he starts or not.”
Weah has just returned from USMNT duty, where he scored a goal in a 4-2 win over Jamaica.
