Minnesota United 3, St. Louis City 2

Loons defender Anthony Markanich scored a late, quick-fire brace against his former team to lift Minnesota United to a dramatic win over visiting St. Louis City SC.

Markanich arrived in Minnesota from St. Louis in a trade last August and has already scored twice in league play this season. The multi-goal performance, coming in the 85th and 88th minutes, is his first in four seasons as a senior professional.

Joao Klauss and Marcel Hartel had put St. Louis in front early in the second half after Kelvin Yeboah had given the Loons an early lead on 10 minutes.

It was the second win in as many games for Minnesota over St. Louis. The Loons earned a 3-0 win, also at home, in the sides' league meeting 3-0 on Saturday night.

New York Red Bulls 2 (4), FC Dallas 2 (3)

Emil Forsberg equalized during the third minute of second-half stoppage time, then scored the final Red Bulls penalty to send his side through past FC Dallas.

Mohammed Sofo also scored for the home side in the 63rd minute to level the match at 1-1. AJ Marcucci saved Pedro Martin's spot kick to clinch the victory.

Bernard Kamungo and Luciano Acosta scored for Dallas, but Acosta also missed a penalty during the shootout.

Orlando City 2, Nashville SC 3

Wyatt Meyer scored in the 79th minute and Nashville picked up an impressive away win against an Orlando City side fielding much closer to its best XI than the Coyotes.

Ahmed Qasem also scored for the visitors, and Nashville first got on the board on an own goal via Lions defender Rodrigo Schlegel.

Orlando's Marko Pasalic opened the scoring, and Ramiro Enrique leveled the match at 2-all in the 58th.

Philadelphia Union 4, Pittsburgh Riverhounds 1

Bruno Damiani and Indiana Vassilev scored before halftime to help the Union to a comfortable win over their intrastate foe and lone remaining lower-division entrant.

Danley Jean Jacques added a third nine minutes into the second half, and substitute Jovan Lukic completed the performance with an insurance tally in the 86th minute.

Jorge Garcia scored Pittsburgh's lone goal midway through the second half.

Austin FC 3, Houston Dynamo 1

Brandon Vazquez scored before halftime, Osman Bukari and Ilie Sanchez added on in quick succession after the break and the Verde handled the Dynamo in a combustible affair.

Ezequiel Ponce pulled a late goal back for Houston. Houston's Brooklyn Raines and Austin's Julio Cascante were both sent off in second-half stoppage time.
