Derby have won just four league games in 23, but the 51-year-old looks set to stay at Pride Park.
Paul Warne looks set to remain as Derby County manager, with his job not under threat despite his side's poor run of form.
That's according to Darren Witcoop on X, with the 51-year-old retaining the confidence of owner David Clowes with the Rams now just a point above the relegation zone.
The East Midlands outfit have won just four of their last 23 league games, and they have tasted victory only twice since their 2-1 win over Coventry City on 6 November.
A 2-0 defeat to Watford FC on Saturday at Pride Park was met by boos from supporters, with Derby now gearing up for an incredibly tough clash at home to Sunderland on Tuesday evening. The Black Cats are currently unbeaten in 2025, and will be looking to fight back after a 0-0 draw against Burnley on Friday, a game in which Wilson Isidor missed two late penalties.
There has been plenty of ill-feeling towards the Rams' manager in recent weeks, with the team dropping closer and closer to the bottom three.
They are on a four-game losing streak, and the visit of Sunderland has come at the wrong time as three points are desperately needed to help take them back away from the immediate threat of the bottom three.
However, despite pressure mounting on Warne, Witcoop has stated that his job remains secure, replying to a post from a Derby supporter who had suggested that the former Rotherham United boss seems to be safe on X: "Listened to Paul Warne's post match interview. Doesn’t sound to me like a manager who feels that his job is under threat #dcfc #dcfcfans".
Witcoop replied: "It's not."
The last couple of months have been tough for Derby, and the patience of supporters is starting to wear thin. Performances have not warranted results in the majority of matches during this time, and this must change immediately.
While the Rams are missing chances and making mistakes at the back, they often look laboured in possession, and there is a real lack of threat for the most part in games.
Signings are needed, but they do not have to hit the ground running with Warne's side now within touching distance of the bottom three.
Derby have a great opportunity to pick up just their second away win of the season on Saturday against Cardiff City, with the Bluebirds also languishing just above the drop zone. However, a failure to do so will mean that the relegation picture will look a lot more desperate for them.
