After the controversial draw against Porto, the Friedkins are ready to support Ranieri with a letter to UEFA to list all the situations that the Giallorossi have not liked in recent years.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport writes, yesterday UEFA called Roma’s headquarters in Trigoria to try to understand the reasons that infuriated the former Leicester coach.
The highest European football body were surprised by Roma’s letter and did not appreciate Ranieri’s words in the post-match media appearances, so it is likely that it could start an investigation with a fine.
It is difficult, at the moment, to hypothesize a suspension. UEFA considers the work of referee Stieler to be correct and also disputes the statistics highlighted by Ranieri, who had accused the German of penalizing away teams.
UEFA will also highlight, it is written, the list of referees who have directed Roma in the last three years: all top names, including Taylor, who, before the disputed final in 2023, refereed Roma-Feyenoord 4-1.
