Manchester United are struggling to offload Antony this summer.
Marcus Rashford now has his dream move to Barcelona after enjoying a prolific loan stint at Aston Villa.
Antony, who spent the second half of 2024/25 on loan at Real Betis, also rediscovered some of his best form away from United, scoring nine goals and assisting five times in 26 appearances under Manuel Pellegrini.
However, the Brazilian’s future remains uncertain heading into the new season.
Despite singing his praises, the club’s hierarchy in Seville are yet to meet United’s demands for their 25-year-old forward.
According to Sky Sports, a move to Betis is “looking unrealistic” currently, as the La Liga outfit cannot afford a permanent deal as things stand.
Los Verdiblancos have raised substantial funds by selling Johnny Cardoso and Jesus Rodriguez to Atletico Madrid and Como respectively. However, they want to discuss another loan deal for Antony.
It is claimed that two of the Saudi Pro League’s top clubs are interested in signing Antony.
A number of clubs in Europe, including Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich, have been monitoring his situation but “bids are yet to materialise.”
Bayern’s priority is a left-winger rather than a right-winger, and they are seemingly focused on finding an agreement with Liverpool for Luis Diaz. The Bavarians reportedly showed interest in Rashford before he sealed a switch to Barca.
The Premier League giants prefer a permanent sale. As such, they will welcome interest from Saudi, who previously tried to sign Bruno Fernandes in a deal worth around £100 million.
Sky Sports add that “the interest from Saudi Arabia is thought to be increasing and Antony maybe open to exploring the idea, although he would prefer to remain in Europe.”
