Two Real Madrid heavyweights involved in heated altercation in training last week – report | OneFootball

Real Madrid were stretched to the limit by Deportivo Alaves last night, especially after Kylian Mbappe had himself sent off, and finally registered a first win in three games.

The mood in the Merengues’ camp, after all, has been far from positive in recent weeks. If the defeat to Valencia was not enough, the 3-0 drubbing to Arsenal has spoilt the mood in the camp.

There is, indeed, a sense of conviction that they must make a comeback happen and belief that it is not out of their reach. The tension, however, continues to bear heavy on the players.

A clash in training

As relayed in a recent update by Mundo Deportivo, there was an altercation and faceoff between two heavyweights of the dressing room in last Friday’s training which exemplifies that the squad is far from comfortable with the current situation.

The two players in question are Antonio Rudiger and Jude Bellingham who both clashed with each other on the training field in what was quite a serious fight.

The quarrel escalated and the duo had to be seperated from each other by the other present at the venue.

While it is indeed something usual in any club, for it to happen so close to the reverse game against Arsenal shows the tension riding on players.

Both stars eventually talked it out and shook hands like professionals, agreeing that what happens in training stays in training. They both even shared the field for over 30 minutes yesterday in the win over Alaves.

It remains to be seen if Los Blancos can indeed pull off the comeback that is weighing so heavily on them.

If they are to do so, it is beyond doubt that Rudiger and Bellingham will be two of the most important players.
