Foot Mercato report that Mainz 05 fullback/wingback Anthony Caci might be on the move this summer. There are apparently a plethora of potential takers for the French Olympic representative, who pumped his estimated market value up to €12m this season amid a strong campaign for the Rheinhessen.

Caci was among several M05 defensive actors asks to play out of position head coach Bo Henriksen this season. Primarily a left-rail wingback prior to this season, Caci thrived on the right this year. He also filed in as a central defender for Henriksen both this year and last.

Caci played an important role in Mainz’ qualification for Europe, scoring one goal and contributing seven assists in 33 Bundesliga appearances. The 27-year-old has nearly doubled his market value in just the last six months.

The French online portal first reports interest from Stade Rennes in Caci’s native land. Les Rennais naturally have a dire need on the right rail following Lorenz Assignon’s move to Stuttgart. Rennes are also linked with SC Freiburg sale candidate Kiliann Sildillia.

The report nevertheless also notes that there is interest from the Isle. Fulham and Leeds United are said to have Caci on their radar. Mainz will surely be keen to cash in on Caci as he sits on a contract set to expire at the end of next season.
