Yesterday, AC Milan announced that Mauro Tassotti had returned home to help the Futuro team stay up in Serie C, but will he be able to assist Daniele Bonera?
It has been a difficult year for Milan’s Futuro team so far, and despite the high hopes of success originally, they have been postponed. Instead of sitting near the top of Serie C, there is a real threat of relegation, so the Rossoneri have sought out help.
In steps Tassotti, the man who Tuttosport (via Milan Press) states has returned to ‘save’ the side. After 36 years at the club, the ‘Badger’ will return after a nine-year gap to help the young Diavolo side in their bid to stay up in Serie C – a statement that was not expected a year ago.
Of course, he already knows the environment, but having formerly worked with the Primavera and also as an assistant to Carlo Ancelotti and others. It will be hoped he can aid Bonera in the next few months.
Despite this new addition to his touchline, the report (and others) state that Bonera’s future is still insecure, and with the Diavolo already being turned down, it is certainly a difficult situation to operate within for all involved.
