Tammy Abraham is expected to lead the line for AC Milan tonight in their Coppa Italia tie against Sassuolo, and he has two missions.
As this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanPress) recalls, Abraham’s start to his adventure with Milan after his late arrival on loan from Roma was very positive. He got an almost instant assist against Lazio on his debut, a goal against Venezia and a great performance in the derby.
Then came an early turning point of sorts in Florence against Fiorentina where he was in the spotlight for the wrong reason after the penalty saga, and from that moment on he dropped in the hierarchies, also due to a shoulder issue.
Now the Englishman has regained his fitness and against Slovan Bratislava he provided a lovely assist for Christian Pulisic’s goal to make it 1-0, then got a goal of his own to make it 3-1. Tonight he will lead the Rossoneri attack against Sassuolo in the cup, which is an opportunity not to be missed.

The paper’s headline reads: ‘Now Abraham sees double. Coppa and redemption’. The former Chelsea man wants to convince Milan that he is worth investing in next summer, to make his dry loan a permanent deal.
A lot will depend on his performance, as well Roma’s asking price, but the best way to stake his claim is with goals and good performances. Tonight at San Siro he has an important chance to take the team on his shoulders and demonstrate his value.
