With Strahinja Pavlovic’s departure a possibility, AC Milan would be left short without a replacement of some kind, and once again, the Rossoneri are looking to London.
Milan cannot afford to recreate the failures of last season: the lack of defensive coverage, and with the team arguably short in the area currently, the Rossoneri cannot take risks. For this reason, if Pavlovic departed, another body would be needed.
Tuttosport (via Milan News) reports that the player currently taking the Diavolo’s interest is Axel Disasi. The Frenchman is out of favour in Enzo Maresca’s squad currently, and there is a chance that he could depart this mercato.
His departure would be a ‘market opportunity that Milan could not pass up’ as the report suggests, and given Geoffrey Moncada’s infatuation with the French market, it is a name that he will be well aware of.
Disasi joined Chelsea in the summer before last for €30 million, so his value will probably be nowhere near the level that it once may have been. For this reason, Pavlovic’s sale, which would be around €15m according to a report this morning, could fund the move.
However, the Serbian is not guaranteed to leave, so the next few days will be time for assessing the situation.
