Malick Thiaw has ended up on the wish list of both Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, with AC Milan eyeing a payday in the summer. Meanwhile, Fikayo Tomori is also attracting interest from abroad.
Given the disappointment this season, currently 9th in the league, some changes are expected in the summer and we could see at least one in defence. According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), both Thiaw and Tomori have attracted interest from abroad.
Starting with the former Schalke 04 man, a return to Germany could be on the cards as Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen have him on their respective wish list. At the age of 23 and still with a lot of untapped potential, it’s clear that he won’t leave the Rossoneri for cheap (we would be talking about a significant capital gain too).
In the last few weeks, Thiaw has also lost his spot in the starting eleven despite Milan playing with a three-man backline, so a departure in the summer is far from unlikely. Indeed, the centre-back dilemma is something the new sporting director will have to deal with immediately.
As the newspaper concludes, after the concrete links in January, Tomori could also become an option for Premier League clubs and this time out, he might not refuse a move.
