Tudor gives Vlahovic verdict for Juventus: ‘He has all the skills needed’ | OneFootball

Igor Tudor believes that Dusan Vlahovic ‘has all the skills that a top-class player needs to have’ and has not ruled out the possibility of him starting in the same Juventus team as Randal Kolo Muani moving forwards.

Tudor, who replaced Thiago Motta as head coach of Juventus on Sunday, gave his introductory press conference in front of the media on Thursday, addressing a number of topics including where the team needs to improve and his desire to stay on beyond the summer.

Tudor also answered questions about a number of his key-first team players, including Vlahovic, Manuel Locatelli, who will be Juve’s go-to captain moving forwards, as well as the likes of Teun Koopmeiners and Kenan Yildiz.

There were several questions about Vlahovic, though, as some suggest he became something of a scapegoat under Motta. The Serbian has only started once in Serie A since Kolo Muani was signed from PSG in January, but Tudor hints that he will have a much bigger role to play before the end of the 2024-25 season.

Tudor on Vlahovic’s Juventus role: ‘He has all the skulls a top-class player needs’

Reports on Wednesday confirmed that Vlahovic was among the players to return early from international duty in order to begin training under Tudor as swiftly as possible.

“Dusan made a nice gesture. He’s a very strong player and I’m happy to coach him,” Tudor told the press, reported via TMW.

“I’ve already spoken about him in the past, these are facts, not just words. He’s a player who has all the skills that a top-class player needs to have. He knows how to score goals, he understands, he’s intelligent, a motivator.”

“He’s coming off this moment, we’ve talked, we’ve exchanged opinions. He wants to work. We have him and Kolo (Muani), who are both strong players.

When asked if Vlahovic and Kolo Muani can play together in the same team, Tudor replied: “They can play together, one or the other, we can do everything. It’s important to have strong players, otherwise a coach can’t do anything.
