Transfers: FC Seoul sign 'utility player' Jeong Seung-won from Suwon FC | OneFootball

FC Seoul have secured the services of  'utility player' Jeong Seung-won on a free transfer from Suwon FC, further bolstering the playing squad ahead of the 2025 season. Following the acquisitions of veteran left-back Kim Jin-su and forward Moon Seon-min, FC Seoul continues its ambitious offseason rebuild with the signing of Jeong Seung-won. His arrival enhances the depth and strength of Kim Gi-dong's midfield options, which already include the likes of Ki Sung-yueng, Lee Seung-mo, Ryu Jae-moon, and Hwang Do-yoon.

Known for his tireless work ethic, Jeong is expected to complement manager Kim Gi-dong's dynamic style of football and bring fresh energy to the team.

Jeong is renowned for his versatility, capable of playing across multiple positions in both midfield and defense, leveraging his exceptional stamina and adaptability. Since making his professional debut in 2017, he has amassed an impressive K League record of 205 appearances, 19 goals, and 21 assists. Notably, in the 2024 season, Jeong demonstrated his offensive prowess, contributing 11 goals and six assists in 38 matches while serving as a pivotal figure in both attack and defense.
