Tottenham Hotspur conclude their difficult Premier League campaign at home to Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday 25th May at 4pm.

Ange Postecoglou will hope to welcome the Seagulls to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium safe in the knowledge his side will be playing Champions League football next season, via victory in the Europa League.

Mid-table Brighton, meanwhile, will be looking to do what they can to ensure their own European dream for next season is fulfilled.

Jan Paul van Hecke to Win 1+ Foul (10/11 with Paddy Power)

There is no denying that Brighton have a significant advantage after Spurs lifted the Europa League trophy on Wednesday night. Spurs may have been in celebratory mood for the last few days, with their attention not fully focused on the meeting with Brighton. However, the market has certainly accounted for this and Brighton, are priced at just 3/4 to win the game, a price I’m not willing to back.Instead, I really like the look of Jan Paul van Hecke to be fouled one or more times in the match. The centre-back has been fouled at least once in eight of his last nine league matches. His foul-won totals in that period read 0, 1, 1, 3, 2, 2, 2, 1, 1, and he well looks overpriced for a player who loves to carry the ball out of defence.

Yasin Ayari to Score First (18/1 with Sky Bet)

With Brighton needing to avoid defeat and Spurs having a potential hangover, I can see the Seagulls having a fast start. Yasin Asari has scored in two of his last four appearances for the club. Both of those strikes have arrived from outside the area, and with confidence high, I can see him letting fly and testing the Tottenham keeper.

How both teams go into Tottenham vs Brighton

Tottenham celebrated their first trophy for 17 years as they overcame Manchester United to lift the Europa League trophy. Ange Postecoglou delivered in his second season just as he said he would, and he will want to avoid defeat on the final day after having lost 21 league games this season, their most in a campaign since 1976-77 (also 21).

Meanwhile, a run of two wins and a draw from three games have boosted Brighton’s European ambitions, though they will require favours from elsewhere in order to secure a return to the continent.

Tottenham team news

Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison and Lucas Bergvall were recently ruled out for the remainder of the season, joining Radu Dragusin on the long-term absentee list.

Brighton news

Joao Pedro is available again after suspension, while Lewis Dunk and Joel Veltman should be fit after knocks. Georginio Rutter and James Milner may also be in contention for the Seagulls, but Solly March and Ferdi Kadioglu are unavailable.

Tottenham vs Brighton head-to-head

The home side has prevailed in each of the four most recent meetings between the sides.
