According to Sky Sport Italia, Tottenham have been rebuffed in their initial attempt to sign Nico Paz, the 20-year-old attacking midfielder currently shining at Como.

With James Maddison sidelined due to a cruciate ligament rupture and set to miss much of the 2025-2026 season, Spurs have launched a search for a replacement. Their hunt has led them to Serie A, where the young Argentine has been making waves with Como.

Sky Sport Italia also reports that the London club submitted a €40 million offer (around 445 million Swedish kronor), which was swiftly rejected by the Italian side. Como’s management value Nico Paz at nearly €70 million and are demanding at least €60 million before even considering negotiations.

After racking up 6 goals and 9 assists in 35 Serie A appearances last season, Nico Paz has naturally caught the attention of several clubs. But Tottenham will have to significantly increase their offer if they hope to persuade Como to part with their prized asset.
