Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, according to Sky Sports.
The Cameroonian international had an outstanding 2024/25 season, contributing 20 goals and nine assists in all competitions.
Manchester United submitted a bid for Mbeumo, which Brentford rejected. However, Tottenham have entered discussions with Brentford for a potential transfer.
The club is determined to strengthen their squad after finishing 17th in the Premier League last season.
Spurs’ appointment of former Brentford manager Thomas Frank could boost their chances of securing Mbeumo’s services.
The winger may welcome the chance to play under familiar management.
Bryan Mbeumo is a versatile attacker known for his direct playing style and ability to carry the ball forward.
He excels in creating chances in the final third and is particularly effective in delivering accurate crosses and cutbacks.
His adaptability allows him to play on either wing or as a centre-forward, making him a valuable asset for any club.
Tottenham’s current attackers have struggled to perform consistently. Richarlison has failed to deliver since his transfer from Everton, while Heung-min Son had a below-par 2024/25 season.
Bringing in Mbeumo could inject fresh energy into Spurs’ attack and provide much-needed support in front of goal.
Tottenham are also considering a move for Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth. Strengthening the squad is a priority for the club as they aim to avoid another underwhelming season.
