Everyone on the Orlando City SC roster contributes something to the club this season. So logic dictates that the biggest contributors get paid the most.
The best publicly available source places forward Luis Muriel at the top with a gross salary of $2,832,817. His number has been called in the broadcast booth several times this season.
Next up on that list is winger Martin Ojeda at $900,000 gross. That’s a player who has made the difference in some of the Lions’ toughest matches.
A close-third on the list is the team captain, defender Robin Jansson, at $850,000 gross.
Marco Pasalic, another winger, is a player who has been vital in several games for Orlando. His salary numbers aren’t publicly available. Yet, we’re reminded of his transfer fee of around $5 million when he signed as a Designated Player. The club has options to keep him on the pitch through 2028.
Muriel stepped up from the start of this season to make goals and assists to drive the team through the MLS postseason. In his best performances, he’s maintained the form that Orlando City sought when they brought him to the roster.
He’s a player depended on for key passes and to win aerial duels. That’s what he has been doing.
As the 2025 season started, Martin Ojeda vowed to advance his game. He’s done that as a player counted on to press the accelerator and get to the goal. His increased contribution to defense is vital this season, as the Lions face some of their toughest matches.

As toughness and defense are more important than ever for Orlando City, Captain Robin Jansson is also more important. His leadership on and off the pitch is why the Lions can continue to rise in the MLS Eastern Conference.
Marco Pasalic got the call to join the Orlando roster as the organization sought someone who not only would make an impact but also start doing that quickly. Scouts assured the team that Pasalic not only fit the Orlando City scheme, but would also provide goals, assists, and a comprehensive offense.
Level-headed aggression is the foundation of Orlando City SC's game strategy. As they train and pay their players to execute that, they’ll gain something priceless in the MLS postseason.
