Arsenal registered a 2-2 draw against Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Gunners had a tough start to the game at the Etihad Stadium. Erling Haaland scored his 100th goal for the Cityzens from a lovely assist from Savinho.

However, Arsenal managed to level the proceedings with a Riccardo Calafiori wonderstrike before Gabriel Magalhaes put them ahead with a trademark header.

Everything seemed to be going in Arsenal’s favour before Leandro Trossard was sent off before the break.

The Belgian ace was handed his marching orders with a second yellow card after he kicked the ball away after fouling Bernardo Silva in the closing seconds.

Arsenal had to dig deep in the second half. They almost grabbed a hard-fought win, but John Stones salvaged a point for the Cityzens in the 98th minute.

Following the draw, Magalhaes thanked the fans on Instagram saying: “Massive effort from the boys!! Happy to score and help the team! Thanks for your support Gunners!! We go again.”

Vinicius Junior responded with ‘Brabooo’ which is a Brazilian slang for being brave and courageous.

Declan Rice also heaped praise on the centre-back, he replied: ‘U are too good’.

For the second straight game, Magalhaes scored a crucial goal for Arsenal from a Bukayo Saka corner.

Aside from this, the 26-year-old won four ground and aerial duels with five clearances and three blocks.

He also won 100% of his tackles (2/2) and committed just one foul over the course of 90 minutes.

Magalhaes has had a fantastic start to the season and hopefully, he can continue his sparkling form.
