Sandro Tonali is not considering a return to Serie A or a move elsewhere, as he’s glad to play at Newcastle and in the ‘world’s best league’, agent Beppe Riso confirmed.

Reports from Italy suggested the Italy international was unhappy with the playing time coach Eddie Howe gave him since he returned available after his gambling ban, as he felt unable to prove his worth as he’s been doing with Luciano Spalletti’s National Team.

However, Riso did not hesitate to dismiss all rumours about Tonali’s potential move away from St James’ Park, making it clear that he feels particularly at ease with his current team, where he’s an idol to local fans, who ‘supported’ him throughout troubled moments.

“Sandro is absolutely not considering a return to Serie A,” Riso told Fabrizio Romano, as quoted by TMW.

“He is happy at Newcastle and is happy to play in the best league in the world. He is an idol for the Newcastle fans who have supported him at all times.”
