Tomori says Milan must play with ‘aura’ as he reflects on Scudetto pursuit | OneFootball

Fikayo Tomori has been an important player at the back for AC Milan and after yesterday’s win against Lecce, he spoke at the press conference. He reflected on the Scudetto target and said the Rossoneri must play with ‘aura’.

Tomori played from start alongside Matteo Gabbia, just like in the derby, and put in a decent performance to help preserve the clean sheet. With the attack absolutely flying, it’s clear that the defence is what Milan must work on to succeed this season.

Speaking at the press conference after the game, Tomori was asked about Milan’s mentality and their goal for the current season. He reflected on the fact that he’s one of the few left from the Scudetto season, while highlighting that ‘we are still Milan’.

“I’m one of the few left from the Scudetto season, but we are still Milan. We want to win and we know what is needed, we have to improve every day, having trust among ourselves to play with aura,” he stated as cited by Simone Rabuffetti.

Bayer Leverkusen are up next away from home and it certainly won’t be an easy task for Paulo Fonseca’s men. They have some confidence to approach the match with, though, so perhaps this can help.
