Tottenham Hotspur striker Alejo Veliz has revealed one of his teammates back in N17 actually convinced him to leave on loan in January.
The young Argentine striker only joined in the summer, but already finds himself away from north London having joined Sevilla until the end of the term.
And it has been claimed, by the striker, that the move to the La Liga side was pushed to him by one of the players who remained at Hotspur Way.

Veliz’s game time under Ange Postecoglou was extremely limited with the youngster only really making cameo appearances off the bench.
And since making the move to Spain, the 20-year-old has revealed a former Sevilla player, Bryan Gil, was key to his decision to leave Spurs for the remainder of the season.
Speaking about the move, Veliz said: “I came with Bryan a month and a half ago or so and we got to know Seville a little.
“Then we went to his town and Bryan always spoke very highly of the club. Before I came, I talked to him and asked him about everything. He told me to go ahead because everything was a 10.”
Gil was bought by Spurs from Sevilla back in 2021, and even he has made a return to his former side on loan during the 2022/23 campaign.

Over the January transfer window, Gil was also heavily linked with a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
It was reported the Spaniard was receiving a lot of interest from the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion, but he decided to remain at Spurs.
He has failed to make any real impression on Postecoglou with his place in the squad nothing more than an option off the bench.
It still feels very early to judge Veliz given he is lacking that first team experience in the Premier League.
However, surely time is ticking for Gil at Spurs. In his 42 appearances, he has only racked up a mere two assists across all competitions.
If Spurs are to look at selling Gil in the summer, it will be interesting to see how much of their £21.6m investment they will be able to reclaim.
