The release of the new 2025/26 Newcastle United Away Shirt is now imminent.

This follows the 2025/26 home shirt which was launched before last season (2024/25) ended and the players wore it for the final home match, when United qualified for the Champions League (and lost to Everton at St James’ Park..).

The upcoming season’s third shirt was then launched earlier this month, the mainly blue design seemingly getting a largely positive reaction.

Now it is set to be the turn of the new away shirt.

Newcastle United officials met the club appointed FAB (Fan Advisory Board) for their most recent meeting on 21 May 2025 and the minutes of that meeting were finally released in June.

Included in the minutes was an explanation/justification (see below) for the prices charged for the various replica kits, as well as guidance on when the official launches of the 2025/26 away and third kits would be; ‘Third kit to launch in early July and Away shirt launch planned to be on pre-season tour in Asia during July or August.’

Leaked images (see below) of this new 2025/26 Newcastle United away shirt have circulated online for some time now and with the NUFC squad reportedly set to fly off to Singapore on Thursday, fans won’t have long to wait for the official unveiling of the new away shirt.

United play Arsenal on Sunday (27 July) in Singapore, then move on to South Korea for two more friendlies, against Team K-League All Stars next Wednesday (30 July) and then Tottenham on Sunday 3 August.

From the minutes of the Newcastle United FAB (Fans Advisory Board) meeting on 21 May 2025:

When reviewing 24/25 launches for leading clubs, looking at adult replica kits, kids replica shirts and player’s shirts, the proposed pricing set by NUFC was reviewed against leading EPL clubs.

For the 24/25 season NUFC is at a lower price point than Chelsea and Tottenham on adult replica, players and kids shirts and a lower price than Manchester City on kid’s and players shirts.

For 24/25, the club maintained kid’s replica pricing versus 23/24, with player’s shirts reduced by £5.00 and adult replica increased by £5.00.

An NUF [Newcastle United Foundation] donation was introduced following a recommendation from the club’s Fan Advisory Board (FAB) with £5.00 being donated on sales of 24/25 home and goalkeeper’s shirts purchased by the end of August 24.

For 25/26 the cost price from adidas to the club has increased. This increase has been reflected in the increase of adult’s replica shirts by £5 to £85 and player’s shirts from £110 to £120 retail price.

Discussion was held regarding new kit release and adidas campaign.

Third kit to launch in early July and Away shirt launch planned to be on pre-season tour in Asia during July or August.’
