Eintracht defender’s Red Devils come from behind to get a share of the points in Italy.

Eleven Eagles joined up with their international squads at the start of the week, and on Thursday evening the action began as Arthur Theate’s Belgium travelled to Italy for Matchday 3 of the UEFA Nations League. At the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, the Eintracht defender and his Belgian team-mates found themselves 2-0 down after 24 minutes but managed to halve the deficit a few minutes before the break. They also found themselves with a man advantage from the 38th minute onwards, after Lorenzo Pellegrini was shown the red card for a foul on Theate. The Red Devils equalised in the 61st minute and the match ended in a 2-2 draw, with Theate featuring until the 68th minute. Theate and Belgium will be in action again on Monday 14 October when they take on France in Brussels. They currently find themselves third in Group 2 on four points, behind the Azzurri and Les Bleus.
