The situation with Trevoh Chalobah is different this summer with Chelsea not offering him out to clubs like has been the case previously according to Matt Law.

Chelsea are once again set for a busy summer and have already completed the signing of Liam Delap for £30m for Ipswich.

More new faces are expected to follow the striker through the door, and the Blues are looking to add a versatile attacker, centre back and left winger to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad.

Chelsea not offering Chalobah to clubs

Whilst incomings are important, outgoings are vital as well and the Blues have a number of players in the squad they need to move on.

Chalobah is one who faces an uncertain future and the Blues tried to force him out last summer before he eventually joined Crystal Palace on loan.

The 25-year-old was recalled from Palace in January due to injuries to Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile, and Chalobah played an important role as Chelsea secured Champions League qualification and won the Conference League.

Chalobah made his England debut against Senegal this week as a reward for his Chelsea form, but questions are once again being asked about his future.

Napoli are said to have interest in Chalobah and Matt Law has provided an update on the situation surrounding the England international.

“The situation is different, whereas in the last two summers, he has definitely been offered to clubs and told to find a new club,” he told The London Is Blue Podcast.

“That hasn’t happened this summer, he’s not been put on any lists. He’s not being touted around. A bit like with Petrovic, they are not going to give Chalobah any playing guarantees.

“Chalobah does definitely want to be confident he’s going to play a lot because of the World Cup and because he feels he deserves it.”

Jorrel Hato a target

Whilst Chelsea have been linked with the likes of Marc Guehi and Jarrad Branthwaite, they desperately need back-up to Marc Cucurella.

Cucurella is currently the only natural left back in the squad and if anything were to happen to him Chelsea would have a big issue.

The Blues have identified Jorrel Hato as a target and are said to have held initial talks over a move with Arsenal also interested.
