“The only thing” – Enzo Maresca sends Estevao Willian warning to Chelsea fans

Enzo Maresca hailed Estevao Willian as a fantastic player, but warned he will need to time to adapt to the Premier League.
Chelsea beat Palmerias 2-1 in the Club World Cup quarter final on Friday evening, in what turned out to be the teenager’s final game for his boyhood club.
Estevao scored the equaliser and was voted man of the match, but he couldn’t help Palmeiras overcome the Blues, with Malo Gusto’s deflected strike seven minutes from time turning out to be the winner.
Estevao is regarded as one of the biggest talents in world football at his age, and it’s seen as a real coup the Blues have been able to sign the attacker.
The 18-year-old is already a full Brazil international, and has broken records set by Neymar in the Brazilian League.

Estevao will give Maresca another option in attack, and will be competing with the likes of Cole Palmer and Pedro Neto for minutes next season.
The Brazilian has so much potential and there’s a lot of excitement surrounding his arrival, but Maresca urged caution and warned it will take time for Estevao to adapt.
“He is very good, a huge talent, fantastic player,” he said as cited on X.com.
“The only thing is when you come from South America or another part of the world is that you need to adapt.

“We are going to help him to adapt, be happy and enjoy football. We have no doubt he will be an important player for Chelsea.”
Estevao made 83 appearances in total for Palmerias and scored an impressive 27 goals and registered 15 assists.
Chelsea will head into next season with a new look attack and the arrival of Estevao, follows the signings of Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro.
It’s been reported Chelsea want to start the campaign with as many as nine attacking options in their squad, and haven’t ruled out adding another forward.
Mohammed Kudus is a name of interest, and it will be interesting to see if the Blues move for the West Ham man, who also has interest from Tottenham.
