The official GDL2026 poster is ready! | OneFootball

The preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup continue, as this Wednesday the Organizing Committee of Guadalajara 2026 presented the official poster that will represent the Perla Tapatía as the host city of the maximum soccer competition at the national team level.

Amaury Vergara, president of Chivas and Guadalajara Stadium, Pablo Lemus, Governor of the State of Jalisco and President of the Guadalajara 2026 Council, along with the rest of the team in charge of the preparations for the international event, were in charge of unveiling the graphic piece, the work of Mexican artist Cuemanche, which celebrates the cultural richness, traditions, gastronomy and identity of Jalisco, by fusing iconic elements of our state with the combination of energy and passion for soccer.

During the event, which took place at the Fortaleza Rojiblanca, both Amaury Vergara and Pablo Lemus shared several of the advances that are being made towards the tournament, as well as taking the opportunity to recall how the influence of Jorge Vergara (r.e.p.d.) was a determining factor in making all of this a reality.

Amaury Vergara:"This stadium was born as a dream of Jorge Vergara, it is the most beautiful stadium in Mexico. From the beginning it was designed to be a World Cup stadium, it was a dream that at times seemed far away, but today it is finally a reality. The stadium is ready and getting better and better, we have improved the experience."

Pablo Lemus:"We have an emblematic photograph taken some years ago, the then governor Aristoteles Sandoval, the then president of the Mexican Soccer Federation, Amaury and I, here in this stadium, with some shirts that said 2026. We owe this dream that we are about to achieve to Jorge Vergara, let's not forget that.
