The EURO 2024 Golden Boot race continues to surprise 😳 | OneFootball

Heading into EURO 2024, you would have expected Kylian Mbappé, Harry Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo, or Romelu Lukaku to lead the Golden Boot race.

But those four stars have a combined two goals as the tournament enters the knockouts. Instead, other players lead the charts!

During England’s Round of 16 meeting with Slovakia, we now have a three-way race for the individual prize and three unlikely names.

Ivan Schranz strolled into the box and beat goalkeeper Jordan Pickford for his third of the tournament. He’s also the first-ever Slovakian player to score a knockout round goal at the tournament.

Alongside him sits Germany’s Jamal Musiala and Georgia’s Georges Mikautadze (who play Spain later on Sunday).
