The final gameweek of the season can often be a challenge to predict, with some clubs on the beach and rotation expected as the politics of the summer transfer window begins.
So who are the top 10 FPL picks by predicted points going into Gameweek 38?
You can get your FPL team rated by AI for free on Fantasy Football Hub’s My Team tool, and then explore AI-suggested transfers.
Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson has saved his best form of the season for the final five gameweeks, where he’s racked up five goals and three assists, to contribute to one third of his overall fantasy points tally for the season. Seven of those eight recent goal involvements have come at Stamford Bridge. Jackson sits top of all players for big chances on goal in this period with 11.
Brentford striker Ivan Toney has had a limited season because of suspension and injury, but should be worth a look on the final day, in what could be his final appearance for the Bees. He has four goals and two assists for the campaign and he’s on penalties, with a home game an advantage here. He’s scored three goals in three starts against Newcastle United in the Premier League, sticking it to his former side.
Fantasy Football Hub is purpose-built to turn FPL managers into FPL winners. With industry-leading AI and experts revealing their teams every gameweek, it’s no surprise tens of thousands of managers gain the edge with the Hub every season.
Another form striker in the same fixture is Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, who has five goals and one assist in the last five gameweeks. He has scored 20 goals this season, and has been a mainstay of the Magpies’ attack. He could lose penalty duty after failing to convert from the spot against Burnley in Gameweek 36 and Brentford do have three consecutive home clean sheets.
Tottenham have the fixture of the weekend away at relegated Sheffield United, with Son Heung-min set to lead the line once again. It’s been a difficult period for the side, but Son has still converted two goals in his last five league games, plus he has penalties too. The Blades have kept just one clean sheet this season, conceding a league high 101 goals.
Crystal Palace assets are set to be interesting differentials on the final day of the season against an Aston Villa side already on the beach, having secured Champions League football for next season. The Eagles are unbeaten in their last six league games, scoring 16 goals in that time. Eze has three goals and one assist, with their talisman involved in their set pieces, including penalties.
Chelsea’s Cole Palmer might be beaten by Erling Haaland in the race for the Golden Boot, but he looks set to end the season as the highest scoring fantasy player in the game, despite starting the season listed at just £5.0 million. He has two goals and two assists in the last four gameweeks and hasn’t blanked at Stamford Bridge this calendar year.
With Arsenal talisman Bukayo Saka a fitness doubt for the final day, it’s out of position prospect Kai Havertz who ascends the points predictions and given his current form, this is well justified. He has three goals and three assists in the last four gameweeks and the last time he failed to produce an attacking return in a game at the Emirates was in January.
Manchester City’s Phil Foden presents an interesting differential captain for managers intent on backing them for the final day, with six goals and one assist from six starts since the international break. Team-mate Kevin De Bruyne is a doubt for this game, which could allow Phil Foden the freedom to pick up those pockets of space in the middle of the park to orchestrate City’s attacks.
It’s been a disappointing second half of the season for Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah, but we can expect a party atmosphere at Anfield on this final day to mark Jurgen Klopp’s farewell as manager. Salah delivered two assists in the reverse of this fixture and produced a 13-point haul in the 4-2 win against Tottenham Hotspur in his most recent game on home turf.
Erling Haaland leads the captaincy race for Gameweek 38 and will be the safe bet for those managers protecting their mini league lead or overall rank. He has scored in each of the last six gameweeks, with 10 goal involvements in total in this spell. He has scored in all three appearances against West Ham in the Premier League and will be looking to add to his tally of 27 goals for the season.
