Chelsea have dropped their asking price for Christopher Nkunku by £22m, and want around £43.3m according to The Athletic.
The Blues have been busy this summer and have already completed the signings of Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens.
More new faces are expected to follow, with the possibility of another attacker arriving not ruled out, whilst Chelsea are still looking to move a number of players on.
The Blues have revamped their attack this summer with the arrivals of Delap, Pedro and Gittens, whilst Estevao Willian will also join after a deal was agreed last summer.
These arrivals have pushed Nkunku further down the pecking order, and the France international is expected to leave this summer.
Nkunku surprisingly featured regularly in the Club World Cup, and even appeared in the final, but that doesn’t appear to have changed much in regards to his future.

Bayern Munich were interested in January, and the German club still have the 27-year-old on their radar, whilst Manchester United are also interested in Nkunku.
United have reportedly been quoted £35m to sign Nkunku, but no clubs have made an official approach for the former RB Leipzig man yet.
However, The Athletic have reported Chelsea have reduced their asking price by £22m and want around £43.3m for the Frenchman.
Nkunku cost Chelsea £52m in the summer of 2023, and the Blues were asking for over £60m in January, but it will be interesting to see if the reduced asking price will attract any suitors to make an offer.
With Nkunku heading towards the exit door it looks like Chelsea have a replacement lined up in RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons.
Simons reportedly wants to join Chelsea, and negotiations with Leipzig are expected to get underway in the comings days.

The 22-year-old is said to be valued at around €65m, with Simons able to play both on the left and centrally making him a good fit for Enzo Maresca’s system.
Personal terms aren’t expected to be an issue, and if all goes to plan Simons will become the fourth attacking signing of the summer.
