The 3 players every Chelsea fan wanted to see join in first sessions of the season | OneFootball

Last week was Enzo Maresca’s first back at Cobham, and there were some players around for individual work, but today was the first proper training day of the season, and we got to see the new training kits and the new manager at work.

A lot of squad are still out, either on holiday or playing at international tournaments. But there were 3 players everyone was particularly looking forward to seeing in these sessions: Reece James, Romeo Lavia and Wesley Fofana.

All 3 of them missed major chunks (or the entirety) of last season, and we’re desperate for them to play a role this season. This is only the very first step, but to have them ready for day one of preseason at least gives them the best possible chance of ramping up to full fitness by late August.
