South Korea first-hand with Mathys Tel! The 19-year-old striker gives us a daily account of his experiences on the Audi Summer Tour 2024 on our website fcbayern.com and in the FC Bayern app. In his diary, Tel takes you behind the scenes in Seoul.

Hi, folks! We came through the 11-hour flight from Munich to Seoul well. The training session just before at Säbener Straße helped with that – it wasn't just me who was tired afterwards! It did us good to get some shuteye on the plane, which makes the flight go very quickly.

Highlight of the day at the airport

My highlight of the day: with the fans at the airport.

After waking up, my personal highlight of the first day in Korea came straight away as we got an absolutely mega welcome from the fans at the airport. It was wonderful to see so much joy in their facies. I and the other guys signed so many autographs and took photos with the fans – and was even given a personal gift from them. That particularly pleased me!

We travelled on to the hotel to check into our rooms, where we're staying until Sunday. Afterwards we had something to eat and went up to the roof of the hotel for a special team photo. Guys, that was so high! Oh, it was so high! I got a bit scared – but don't worry, it all went well....

Fun in the evening

After that, we trained in Seoul for the first time, my legs were very tired. Before the long day of travelling came to an end, I had a fun engagement which I'll tell you more about tomorrow. I'll say this much: I rode a four-wheel bike with Pavlo and had to try some very spicy food on the river promenade... So, until tomorrow: À plus!
