Donovan ‘Tekkz’ Hunt will depart Man City Esports following the completion of the contract.
The 24-year-old joined the organisation in the summer of 2023 with the ambition of making ePremier League history.
And the EA FC pro player did that not once, but twice.
In his first season representing Man City Esports, Tekkz – alongside Matias Bonanno – became the first pro to win two ePremier League titles, also helping City become the first organisation to achieve the feat.
Before the tall task of defending the ePremier League title, Tekkz joined City’s first team on our 2024 pre-season tour of the United States. He did work with the Club’s charity, City in the Community, attending Soccer Schools across the US where he met young fans.
And whilst making content for Man City Esports’ social media channels, the FC pro took on fellow content creators, fans and City players in fun FC matches.
It proved handy preparation in the off-season, and when the 2024/25 ePremier League rolled around, Tekkz was ready to make more history.
Him and Mati fought off Brighton & Hove Albion in the final to become the first duo to defend the prestigious trophy. In turn, Man City Esports became the first club to win the ePremier League three times.
Tekkz also attended the Man City Abu Dhabi Cup, giving fans the chance to get their picture with the most prolific ePremier League winner with the trophy.
It’s fair to say Tekkz leaves City having created not just a legacy at the Club but also in the Esports community. And you can check out some of his best moments in the gallery below
Everyone at City would like to thank Tekkz for his hard work during his time with the Club and we wish him the very best of luck in his future career steps.
