Robert Vilahamn is hoping to have Hayley Raso, Shuang Wang and Amy James-Turner back in contention for our return to Barclays Women’s Super League action on Sunday (2pm UK) at home to West Ham United.
Hayley, Shuang and Amy, who all missed our last outing in the WSL against Chelsea due to injuries, returned to training over the international break, but Robert reveals that a decision still needs to be made on their involvement in Sunday's London derby.
The Australia international has been unavailable in our previous two encounters against Manchester United and Chelsea, while Shuang and Amy have yet to feature in our matchday squad so far this season having picked up injuries in pre-season.
Goalkeeper Katelin Talbert is ineligible to play against her parent club under the terms of her loan from West Ham.
Maite Oroz and Kit Graham remain sidelined for this fixture.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, Robert told the media: "We're taking steps, so right now Shuang, Amy and Hayley are all back in training and there will be a decision tomorrow (Saturday) on whether they can start or be in the squad for Sunday."
He added: "Basically Maite is still out, Kit of course, but hopefully we can have those three players as they're training right now so, hopefully, they can be in the squad this week or otherwise next week."
