Syli National
The Guinean Football Federation has finalized its shortlist for the Syli National head coach position. Among the five finalists are Paulo Duarte, Hubert Velud, and Patrice Beaumelle. These seasoned tacticians will soon undergo interviews to determine who will succeed Michel Dussuyer.
The recruitment process for Guinea's next national team manager has entered its final stage. Out of 62 applications received, a specialized committee drew up an initial list of 18 candidates who met CAF criteria. This list was then whittled down to five finalists who will contest the final selection round.
Among the five shortlisted candidates are experienced managers such as Hubert Velud, 66, former Burkina Faso boss; Patrice Beaumelle, 47, ex-Ivory Coast coach; and Paulo Duarte, 56, who previously managed Togo. Discussions between the Ministry of Sports and the Guinean Football Federation are ongoing to finalize the salary terms for the new coach. The main mission for the new Syli National manager will be to secure Guinea's qualification for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 AFCON.
