Surprise Barcelona star is one of the club’s top-3 earners | OneFootball

An out-of-favour member of the attacking ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona is amongst the three very top earners at the club at present.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Ansu Fati as the player in question.

Wide-man Ansu is of course fresh off an another altogether underwhelming campaign in Catalunya’s capital, which saw the 22-year-old struggle for game-time under the watch of new manager Hansi Flick.

The widespread understanding, in turn, is that Ansu is being pushed towards the Camp Nou exit door, amid ongoing interest on the part of Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco.

And this active push on the part of Deco and co, as alluded to above, does not come owing only to sporting performance…

In addition, Ansu’s lofty financial package currently weighs heavy on Barcelona’s wage bill.

As per a report from Sport, owing to the contract afforded to him during the Spaniard’s explosion onto the first-team picture in Catalunya’s capital:

‘The salary of the attacker is in the top-3 of the Barça squad, a stumbling block’ in any potential summer transfer.
