Sunderland announce the signing of Habib Diarra | OneFootball

Sunderland have completed the signing of Habib Diarra from Ligue 1 side Strasbourg.

The transfer, which is reported to be worth £30 million, sees Diarra join the Black Cats on a five-year deal.

"I’m happy and excited to become a Black Cat and I can’t wait to discover the Stadium of Light and its fans," Diarra said about his move to England.

"Everyone saw last season’s success and I guarantee that I’ll give everything for this team and fight for these colours in the Premier League. I’m ready for this challenge and I can’t wait to get started."

Diarra is a Senegal international and scored his side's second goal in a 3-1 victory over England played at the City Ground inNottingham last month

This is Sunderland's second signing of the summer window following Enzo Le Fée's arrival from AS Roma.
