England’s star striker Harry Kane makes it clear that his commitment to the German record champions goes far beyond a short-term episode. Despite a season of ups and downs, Kane sees his future firmly anchored in Munich.

„This is exactly why I came here,“ said Harry Kane in an interview with TNT Sports after the recent Champions League match against Real Madrid. The Englishman emphasised that his commitment to FC Bayern is not just for one season, but that he is pursuing long-term goals with the club. „I’m here for many years, it’s not just one year that I’ve come for,“ said Kane.

In the current season, Kane has impressive figures to show: 43 goals in 43 games across all competitions, plus 11 assists. These statistics emphasise his importance to the team and his desire to make history at Säbener Straße: „Of course, the expectation at the start of the year was to win trophies. It didn’t work out in the Bundesliga and the cup, but the Champions League is the biggest of all,“ he emphasised.

There is no bigger game „than next week away“

The Champions League offers Kane and FC Bayern the opportunity to crown an otherwise difficult season with a title after all: „I want to play in these big games, these big moments; there’s no bigger game than next week away from home,“ emphasised Kane. The England captain is determined to give his all in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final in Madrid next Wednesday as he bids to reach the final at Wembley.

Off the pitch, Kane also has a clear vision. Back in April, he emphasised how much he valued his decision to move to Munich. „I’m really enjoying my experience in Germany. It was a step I needed to take in my career,“ the striker explained in an earlier interview.
