Stephan El Shaarawy discussed Roma’s season so far after the team’s 3-1 win over Genoa.

In his post-match interview with Sky Sport, the Italian attacker, author of Roma’s second goal, shared his view of the team’s rollercoaster campaign.

“I came in with the desire to help the team change the result,” he said.

“We had a great second half, we had a good response, so we are happy with the result and the performance.”

“We had to do more this season,” he added. “It wasn’t the start of the season we expected. We’ve been doing better lately and with mister Ranieri we’ve found a bit more continuity.”

“We’re aware that Roma shouldn’t be tenth, we have to stay in the top positions and we’ll try to get as high as possible in the table.”
