Ange Postecoglou says the players are getting ‘stronger and stronger’ as we approach the final week of pre-season.
We step up preparations again on Sunday as we return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for our penultimate pre-season test against Shakhtar Donetsk (2pm) - Ange’s first home game as our Head Coach. We then travel to Barcelona on Tuesday (7pm UK) and the big kick-off in the Premier League follows at Brentford on Sunday week (5.30pm).
Ange will be without the likes of longer-term absentees Rodrigo Bentancur, Ryan Sessegnon, Fraser Forster, Bryan Gil and Alfie Whiteman on Sunday.
Previewing the match on SPURSPLAY, Ange said: “Health-wise, we’ve a couple of players with niggles, but the majority of the squad is in good shape. We’ve had a good, solid week’s work since we’ve been back (from Tour), and because of that, they’re getting stronger and stronger. So, apart from a couple of minor ones, plus the longer-term ones like Rodrigo, everyone else is in good shape.”
