A journalist has claimed that AC Milan’s technical director Geoffrey Moncada is a fan of Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller.
Milan currently only have Youssouf Fofana and Tijjani Reijnders as players who can play naturally in the double pivot together, at least while waiting for Ismael Bennacer’s return.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek continues to be used more as an attacking midfielder while Yunus Musah has now been shifted to the right side as a sort of hybrid player.
As a result, there have been links with a number of different players such as Warren Bondo and Morten Frendrup, though it cannot be ruled out that a signing arrives from abroad.
Speaking on the YouTube channel of Calciomercato.it, Francesco Letizia of Sportitalia was asked about a midfielder that Milan could sign in the coming months to complete the department.
“I really like Angelo Stiller, who I know Moncada really likes. He can give Milan a further leap in quality. However, we need to understand what Fonseca wants,” he said (via PianetaMilan).
“Whether [he wants] a reserve to alternate with Fofana and Reijnders or a starter to bring the Dutchman into the attacking midfield and move Pulisic.

“In my opinion, the team today performs better with the American as an attacking midfielder, so if we need to find a rotation element, history teaches us that players only grow if you make them play a lot.
“A midfielder is needed, but Fonseca needs to understand the level. If he is inclined to try a new balance with two more defensive players in front of the defence by moving Reijnders, then a starter should be signs.
“Stiller is a good name, as is Ricci, even if I don’t agree with the asing price. If, on the other hand, Fonseca is convinced to keep Pulisic in the attacking midfield, then a reserve is needed, but he must be a player who must have the right space.”
Stiller is a 23-year-old German international who came through the youth sector at Bayern Munich before joining Stuttgart in 2023. He made 31 league appearances last season, with one goal and five assists, while this season he is on 20 games played already.
