The AC Milan squad are due back in training at Milanello today after the win over Red Star, and there is a lot of intrigue after Paulo Fonseca’s comments.
The statements that Fonseca made after the game have generated plenty of headlines: “I’m not satisfied with the team’s performance. I have to talk to the team. I don’t want to talk too much, I want to analyze but these are things that are very clear to me.”
As reported by Sportitalia (via MilanPress), the coach arrived at Milanello at 9:13 this morning. Training is scheduled to begin at 11:00, so Fonseca showed up early at the training ground potentially to do some work ahead of the session or even to speak with players/staff.
Moreover, no Milan manager showed up at Milanello before the start of the morning training session. It has been rumoured that Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Geoffrey Moncada should arrive at some point during the morning, but there is no certainty about this.
The absences would make a lot of noise given just how strong the Portuguese was post-game, in which he accused some members of the team of not giving their all for the shirt. The coach also expects to have a discussion on the matter with the group, scheduled for today.
