As per Voetbal International’s Joost Blaauwhof, Casper Staring could soon leave NAC Breda after seemingly reaching a dead end at the Rat Verlegh Stadium. He is attracting interest from Spanish club Eldense.

Staring was the hero behind 2023/24’s promotion to the Eredivisie with his decisive goal in the play-off final against Excelsior. NAC acquired the defensive midfielder from FC Twente two and a half years ago.

Since then, he has made 74 official appearances. That said, last season, manager Carl Hoefkens called upon the midfielder 15 times in the Eredivisie.

Hoefkens hasn’t used Staring at all during the first three league matches of this season, with the midfielder now eager to leave Breda. Interest from Eldense, who play in the Spanish third tier, now offer a solution. However, NAC are letting Staring go just like that. The 24-year-old midfielder has a contract with the Brabant club until the summer of 2026.
