Sophie Ingle set to join Bristol City | OneFootball

Bristol City are set to sign former Chelsea midfielder Sophie Ingle according to reports.

The transfer is being reported by Tom Garry of The Guardian and would be a major coup for the WSL2 side.

Ingle left the Blues this summer after seven trophy-laden seasons at the club but missed the 2024/25 domestic season after suffering an ACL injury in September.

However, the 33-year-old began her comeback trail during Euro 2025 when she made a brief appearance off the bench for Wales in their 4-1 group stage defeat to France.

Ingle has previously played for Bristol City back when the club was named Bristol Academy where she impressed before earning a move to Liverpool.

Bristol City finished sixth in the second-tier, then known as the Championship, last season.
