Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to host Liverpool at home in the first leg of the EFL Cup semi-final round. The former side lost their previous game against Newcastle United by 2-1 and have struggled to show form in the recent weeks.
Defence
New signee Antonin Kinsky is expected to be seen operating between the sticks for Spurs this week. Pedro Porro continues to be the exclusive right-back in the lineup.
Amid multiple injuries in the defensive section, the centre-back duo of Archie Gray and Radu Dragusin is likely to remain intact even though they were down with illness recently. Left-back Djed Spence should also find himself starting on the team sheet.

Midfield
Both James Maddison and Pape Matar Sarr are unavailable for this fixture as they are suspended. However, Rodrigo Bentancur is available again after serving a ban against the Magpies.
The latter will be deployed in the middle of the park alongside the likes of Yves Bissouma and Dejan Kulusevski.
Brennan Johnson is once again playing on the right flank with Dominic Solanke taking care of the duties of a striker. Surprisingly, Son Heung-min was left on the bench in the previous game but he should be walking back into the XI, leaving no place for Timo Werner.
Destiny Udogie, Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero and Ben Davies, Fraser Forster, Guglielmo Vicario, Richarlison, Mikey Moore and Wilson Odobert are all on the sidelines due to injuries and illness.
