After more than half a season without a sponsor on the back of the shirt, AC Milan have reached an agreement with Bitpanda to take up that spot. According to a report, it’s quite a lucrative deal as well.

WeFox was the last (and first) back-of-shirt sponsor that Milan had, but the agreement – worth around €7m per year – expired at the end of last season. Since then, the Rossoneri have been using the Fondazione Milan logo at the back of their shirts instead.

According to Il Sole 24 Ore, via Calcio e Finanza, this is about to change as Milan have reached an agreement with their official crypto partner Bitpanda to also feature on the shirt. The partnership will be debuted against Inter tonight, with the parties wasting no time.

As for the figures, Milan will bank €5m per season from the deal and the logo will only be visible for the Italian market, i.e. Serie A and Coppa Italia. In the Champions League games, therefore, the Rossoneri will continue to wear the Fondazione Milan logo.,

Considering that the slot had been unused for most of the season, this is certainly an important deal for Milan and will help fund investments in the squad.
