Chelsea and Lyon both continued their perfect form in the UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage while Wolfsburg secured their quarter-final place.
Group A: Galatasaray 0-6 Lyon, Wolfsburg 6-1 Roma
Wolfsburg hit Roma 6-1 to stay second and three points ahead of them. Alexandra Popp’s early goal was the difference until Valentina Giacinti equalised before the hour mark. Lineth Beerensteyn restored the lead and the result was sewn up by a four-goal haul in the last quarter from Sveindis Jónsdóttir.
Lyon made it five wins from five with six goals at Galatasaray with one apiece from Ada Hegerberg, Sara Däbritz, Wendie Renard, Danielle van de Donk and Eugenie le Sommer, plus an own-goal.

Group B: Celtic 0-3 Real Madrid, Chelsea 6-1 FC Twente
Catarina Macario’s very early opener for Chelsea was cancelled out when Maika Hamano brought down Charlotte Hulst in the box and Kayleigh van Dooren converted from the spot. Just seconds afterwards, Oriane Jean-Francois fired the Blues straight back in front. Mayra Ramirez chipped Olivia Clark from 30 yards and Erin Cuthbert made it 4-1 before the interval. Sjoeke Nusken got in on the act, Eve Perisset also finding the visitors’ net.
Celtic went down 3-0 at home to Real Madrid, whose Signe Bruun scored in each half, while Alba Redondo netted in the dying minutes.
