Sheffield United vs Spurs | Ange's preview: "We need a strong performance" | OneFootball

Ange Postecoglou is determined for the team to go out on a high as we face Sheffield United in our 2023/24 Premier League finale at Bramall Lane on Sunday (4pm UK).

We need a point to secure fifth and a place in the UEFA Europa League next season.

After a tough sequence of five defeats in six, the last loss despite a fine performance against Manchester City, Ange underlined the importance of a positive display and result against a Blades side already relegated and on a run of 13 games without a win.

"We've still got a game to go, which is really important for us," said Ange. "We haven’t had some great results, our performances have fluctuated, so we need a strong performance. We need to win. That will get us fifth spot, we’ll know where we finish and what competition we’re in next year. I think that’s important.

"Again, that doesn’t change anything in terms of how I feel about the work we need to do, but it is important we win, absolutely, coming off the back of our recent form. We played awfully well the other night. If we play that well again at the weekend, we’ve got a good chance of getting a result."
