Sheffield United were pegged back late in the first half by West Bromwich Albion at Bramall Lane on Sunday afternoon.
The Blades took the lead in the 23rd minute after a wonderful piece of play between Callum O’Hare and Andre Brooks, resulting in Brooks’ first-ever league goal for Sheffield United. West Brom grew into the half however and they found the equaliser when Karlan Grant stroked the ball into the bottom left corner in front of the Kop in the 46th minute.
Chris Wilder made three changes against West Brom, Harry Souttar and Vinicius Souza missed out through injury, and Rhian Brewster dropped to the bench.
Anel Ahmedhodzic, Tom Davies and Andre Brooks all returned to the starting eleven. Meanwhile, 17-year-old Sam Colechin was named amongst the subs.
Blades: Cooper, Gilchrist, Hamer, Moore, O’Hare, Burrows, Ahmedhodžić, Robinson, T. Davies, Brooks (McCallum 90), Peck (Brewster 73).
Unused: A. Davies, Baptiste, Norrington-Davies, Marsh, Oné, Blacker, Colechin.
West Brom: Palmer, Furlong, Styles, Bartley, Molumby, Maja (Dobbin 80), Heggem, Diakité (Swift 80), Grant (Wallace 66), Johnston (Diangana 71), Fellows (Cole 71).
Unused: Wildsmith, Račić, McNair, Frabotta.
The Blades began positively and probably should’ve been ahead after just two minutes when Moore shanked a left-footed effort, from a cross, almost out for a throw-in. Then, Brooks tried his luck from long range on ten minutes but the ball sailed into the away end.
But it was the aforementioned Andre Brooks that opened the scoring at Bramall Lane when he latched onto a clever flick by Callum O’Hare and then slotted the ball into the bottom corner on 23 minutes, marking his first league goal for his boyhood club.
As the half ticked on towards the interval it was the visitors that became more of a threat and both Maja and Grant had chances saved by Cooper. Fellows should’ve levelled the score when he blazed a shot on the rebound way over the bar from close range.
Moore had a looping header from Hamer’s deep free-kick which landed on the roof of the net, before the latter picked up his ninth booking of the season for a foul on Molumby.
A few minutes later, Fellows set up Karlan Grant on the edge of the box who found the bottom left corner to equalise in first-half stoppage time.

Cooper was called into action twice in quick succession, getting a vital touch on a Molumby cross before parrying a powerful strike from the goalscorer Grant.
Burrows had a volley from 25 yards out after a long throw-in was cleared. Shortly after, the Blades had penalty shouts waved away by Premier League referee Stuart Atwell.
The best chance of the second half fell to substitute Brewster. After some fantastic piece of skill and work rate to retain the ball, Brooks played the ball to the back post where Brewster smashed his shot over the bar.
Despite corners and long throw-ins from both teams late on, Sheffield United and West Brom shared the spoils at Bramall Lane.
