We’re getting into the business end of the opening of the transfer market, and Ibrox Noise brings you some of the latest from Rangers as we look to the future and see what players are (hopefully?) coming in the front door.

Albion Rrahmani:

This Kosovan striker has been getting attention, and Rangers face competition from the Romanian-league-based hitman from Villa and Benfica, to name just two. His name popped up and with his numbers, we can see why he’s getting some noise around him. His market value, going by the press, is around £10M and Rangers can’t match any strong side from Portugal or the Premier League.

Lawrence Shankland:

Yes, his name is very much still there – he is leaving Hearts either this summer or next, and he wants either Rangers or a good European league. He sees this upcoming move as his career-defining and life-defining switch, and expects a wage according to his qualities. Rangers are yet to make any formal move for him.

Connor Barron:

A glut of Serie A sides aware of Bologna’s Lewis Ferguson’s success are looking at him, and Rangers want him as well, for a formal midfield overhaul. But he’s got the options. He’s a free, Rangers’ favourite price, but it’s about beating the rivals.

David Watson:

Another promising talent, Rangers would like to secure this boy but while there’s claims he’s a boyhood Celtic fan, we don’t even care if that’s true. We just want good players. There is interest from Championship sides in him, but he’s guaranteed some good money for Killie by signing a new deal last year. If Rangers want him, we’ll have to dig deep.

Jose Cordoba:

Claims in Bulgaria that he’s signed a pre-contract, but that sounds like manure given he’s not out of contract till next summer (2025) so it’s illegal for Rangers to just sign him now. He doesn’t have any agency, he’s own by Levski. That said, he was at Ibrox and he has changed some of his social media, so we’ll see what happens here. Bit of a strange story though.

And that will do for now… and no, we hadn’t forgotten Sanderson, Traore or Mofokeng…
